Over a long and accomplished career in banking and financial services at St George Bank, Westpac, Suncorp and BOQ, Rhyll filled executive and general management roles in treasury, risk and compliance, marketing, corporate banking, retail banking and group strategy.
She played a key role in St George’s considerable growth and achievements as a business bank and extended this expertise to encompass retail banking, increasing performance and profitability, customer satisfaction and employee engagement. Her roles in St George include Queensland Managing Director and General Manager of Group Strategy. She also held the role of Head of Group Strategy at BOQ, where she led the $440 million acquisition of Investec. Rhyll also has over 10 years of governance experience as a director in the finance, education, social services and arts sectors.
Rhyll is an accomplished professional director with a background in finance, banking and investment. Rhyll’s expertise at the board table encompasses finance, strategy, mergers & acquisitions, governance, risk management, people and culture across a diverse range of organisations.
Rhyll is a proven executive with over thirty years of broad experience along with strong governance and leadership skills developed through a combination of diverse roles managing businesses and leading strategic decision making, growth, turnarounds, critical operations, acquisitions, divestments and re-organisation. She brings a depth and breadth of experience across the corporate, private and not-for-profit sectors to her clients and adds value through her ability to quickly interpret and apply a strategic, lateral thought process to problems and issues.

Rhyll’s current portfolio includes directorships of Foresters Group, Innovation & Business Skills Australia (IBSA) Ltd, The Blue Space Ltd and Expressions Dance Company. She is a past director of QueenslandSymphony Orchestra, St. Margaret's School and the YWCA.
Rhyll’s qualifications include a Bachelor of Commerce, Bachelor of Economics, Master of Applied Finance and an Executive MBA from INSEAD. She is a former finalist in the Telstra Business Women’s Awards and the winner of the Finsia Scholarship for excellence in financial services. She has been a participant in the AICD’s Chair’s Mentoring Program and is a certified Executive Coach through the Executive Central Coaching Academy.
